Proteus-X Demonstration
Pure Java execution of Linux executables
Xeyes is a program developed as a demonstration of the X11 library, see its Wikipedia entry here.
Proteus-X runs the unmodified Linux X11 binary inside a pure Java applet environment. For demonstration purposes, the lower 'console' shows Proteus-X's internal emulation activity (similar to s-trace).
XCalc is the default calculator supplied with most Linux Operating Systems - running here in Proteus-X.
Note this takes longer to load because of the large number of shared objects/libraries loaded by even this simple process - and right now this is interpreting the code rather than using our advanced compilers.
